Your Planning Chart is where you are going to write down all your ideas. It is a place where you are going to record your thoughts, list tasks and draw connections that will save you time, money and energy. The GET THERE Program will teach you WHAT to do, WHY you need to do it and HOW to do it. Your Planning Chart will be a visual representation of your life as a student athlete destined for extraordinary success!

Your job is to make your own Planning Chart…preferably with 2 or even 3 large pieces of chart paper taped together. The bigger, the better! Just follow the instructions on the video and take your time to draw your chart. Everything you write or draw on your Planning Chart in the next several videos is targeted at your Ultimate Goals. Your Planning Chart will provide you with a roadmap or blueprint of the daily actions you need to take to draw the attention of recruiters. There are 6 areas that we need to focus on in your GET THERE PLAN….School, Makeup, Skills, Fitness, Life and Promotion. Be sure to include them on your Plan and to leave lots of empty space on the right side to write your ideas down. In the next several videos you will be finding important connections between each of these focus areas. You will also be identifying your personal strengths and challenges! Be honest with yourself.

Get out your chart paper, felt pens, highlighters, pens and pencils and rulers and have fun making your GET THERE Planning Chart.

When we are finished the GET THERE Program you can take the time to do a “finished” copy of this draft plan. Right now, the goal is to get your ideas down on paper and find the important connections that exist between each of the key areas.
